1. Who we are

interlude. is a fan engagement platform operated by halfsight pty ltd ("interlude.," "we," "us"). interlude. lets fans log support for artists (streaming, attending shows, buying merch, social activity) to earn points, badges, and leaderboard rankings, and lets artists view engagement data about their fanbase and run campaigns to reward loyal fans.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information you provide when you sign up (name, email, username, account type).
  • Activity you log or that is verified through connected services (streams, saves, follows, ticket purchases, merch purchases, social engagement).
  • Data from third-party services you choose to connect, including Spotify, YouTube, Tidal, Instagram, Bandsintown, and Moshtix, limited to what is needed to verify the specific action you're logging (for example, confirming you follow an artist, or that a ticket was purchased under your name).
  • For artist accounts that connect a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad account: advertising performance data (campaign, ad set, and ad-level metrics such as spend, reach, clicks, and results) for that artist's own ad account only, used to display reporting inside interlude. and, where the artist chooses, to create or manage ad campaigns on their behalf.
  • Standard technical data (device, browser, IP address) for security and service reliability.

3. How we use information

We use this information to operate interlude.'s core features: calculating points and leaderboard rankings, verifying actions before awarding points, displaying artist analytics and advertising performance to the artist who owns that data, detecting fraudulent or duplicate activity, and sending email updates about the artists you're connected to (see Section 4). Data connected via a third-party service (including Meta ad account data) is used solely for the account that connected it and is not shared with other fans, other artists, or any third party, except as required to provide the service itself (for example, sending a request to Spotify's API to confirm a follow) or as required by law.

4. Notifications and communications

With your consent, artists you're connected to can send you email updates — such as new posts, tour announcements, and merch drops — through interlude.. This is separate from account and security emails, which we send regardless (like password resets), since those aren't marketing.

Every marketing email includes a link to manage your preferences. From there you can choose how often you hear from artists (every email, at most weekly, or at most monthly), or unsubscribe from marketing email entirely. Unsubscribing applies across all artists, not just the one whose email you unsubscribed from. We keep a record of when and how you gave or changed this consent for compliance purposes.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data with the third-party services listed above only to the extent necessary to verify an action or, for artists, to retrieve their own advertising data. We also share your email address with our email delivery provider (currently Resend) solely to send the emails described in Section 4. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of interlude., our users, or the public.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see Section 9). If you disconnect a third-party service (such as a Meta ad account), we stop accessing new data from that service and remove the associated access token.

7. Children's privacy

interlude. is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. This includes the right to withdraw or adjust consent to marketing email at any time, separately from any other account rights, as described in Section 4. Contact us to exercise these rights.
